After last year I am looking for a new boat

if there’s water in the pits the courses must be under water
Typically the pits are higher elevation

    Slowly working on things.
Off to the machine shop for some new bearings, being told it’s a couple months wait. Oh well.
Anyone know if these are stock pistons?

Exactly how I got back into a banger. Sold a 600hp car, haven’t looked back. Get another, I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Looks great. Is that water pump set up with a real pressure seal, or just a little lip seal like the "leakless" A pumps? I don't see a packing nut.

Always baffles me how so many guys call that thing a motor. I guess, haha, most guys didn't have an old man that would chew their ass every time they called an engine a motor.
LOL, same thing with the difference between a hat and a cap. BTW, there ain't no such thing as a baseball hat.

No motor heads ...engine heads in my family except for me...
In the 6th grade I did a project that consisted of a written component and an oral presentation, Cross referenced, researched, footnoted....illustrated and submitted on the 4-cycle, internal combustion engine. I made the distinction between the term 'Motor' as being a device that was powered externally and a Internal Combustion "Engine". For the oral presentation I also brought in the next door neighbor who was a supervisor in the National Laboratory over the motor pool. He was always mechanicing on something and his dad had a local automotive repair garage....
My Teacher ask him, first off, what the difference was " between a motor and an engine"
His reply; "they are the same thing" " interchangeable descriptors of the thing under the hood"
The mark up on my paper said "get your facts straight" and a grade of a D.....

Haha, hard to say exactly what my dad would have said to your teacher about that grade, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have liked it. With all the random lingo that is deemed acceptable in modern "American English" this is pretty small potatoes, but I still have a good time teasing folks about meaningless bullshit. lol

I went thru this when I dropped the front end with reverse eye springs and a lesser spring leaf count. With the Houidalle the shock rotation maxes out and hammers on the link. I shortened the tubular links to put the shock rotation back in the center of the travel. I cut the outer housing. Gas welded it back together and then removed the same amount from the inner sleeve. Reassembled and you have to make sure you have lots of preload on the link...I bottomed out the threaded end plug. Had to use a large pair of water pump plyers to get the ball to seat inside the link. The ride improved substantially too because the shock action wasn't 'bottoming out' and limiting the spring travel.

    Good luck

Thats exactly what I had done too , It was a huge pothole to be fair ,the wheel is fine and like you said I maybe did not have the preload ramped up as much as it needed-done the other three some more now!
