My friend Bill, not a car nut, calls these sleek cars "Cartoon cars", not as an insult by far; just that in his mind they bring back memories of the cars in the old cartoons that would bend as they rounded a turn. If I were producing a '40's fantasy movie, every car in it would look like this classic '36 custom trope.
Have to agree the extended rear fenders do tend to push it out of the Traditional Custom Car Corral. But the White grille is still a creative departure from the usual Packard that I "mistook" it for....... Also have to agree, I could look at it all day........from Any angle!
Lot of respect for Troy Ladd's builds. Here is a pic of the donor sedan. Wow! https://www.hollywoodhotrods.com/35...jiyzjlwp-898e8202-538b-4e16-b0bc-9daa9f8c747e
I remember following along to the build thread on here, too bad the pics went poof, it was a great follow.
Such an elegant exercise, in metal shaping and attention to detail! There won't be any muddy boots worn in this kick ass rig!
