I guess I need to say something about valve cover breathers;; Valve covers have a low side and a high side, being mounted on a V8= The lower the open to outer air hole is at top of breather, on the engine, the more likely to leak oil out.< not wanted} This is basic, but seems over looked,by guy putting a breather on the down/outer side of valve cover . Every time I see that,I shake my head, but often they don't want to be told,an if told, are in denial of basic facts. If they raced as many years as I,,,,I would not ever need to say anything.
Exception;; is left turn Oval racing....The only place you get away with, having a breather on down side of valve cover on left side of racer= Oval race car on left side of V8 only> as every thing is being thrown to right out side, most of the time. SBC,sometimes,if breather are on bottom,ya can just put cover on other side of motor=all good. TRick is not to have breather in same spot as another part/like carb linkage or what ever.

Each time breathers come up and it's not a drag car but something for the street and avoiding a normal PCV system, I go back to the one that works for G forces in all directions and was built by smart guys. No, it's not exactly t bucket minimal, but it beats dripping like a Harley primary.

  7. Offy makes "mini" breathers that might fit. Just a thought.
