    Johnny, thanks for your reply, was hopeful of a detailed diagram. May not be one out there. Ordered the rubber kit from an early Chevy vendor, as I said a lot of pieces... able to use just 6 of them and 6 needed were missing. Looked like someone just dumped the stuff in a box and mailed it out. Have no idea what these parts fit, certainly not a '54 Chevy Bel Air. Went the hardware store and for under five dollars got enough gasket makins for the 6 needed, with leftovers.

    National Chevy Association catalogs have some pictures of where plugs , rubber seals ,grommets go if you haven't checked there .

    I'm not finding any reference to an "Assembly manual " like we have for the 47/54 Chevy trucks.
