    Hi guys,

I've got a little toy my brother and I are working on. It's a 34 sedan, open fender, with what appears to be a aftermarket fibergl*** grill shell from a 33-34 Dodge. The car was built in 1967 but the current radiator is starting to leak. It appears to have a much more modern car radiator and we are unable to find a model number on it. We have enough room to squeeze a 20" Wide x 24" Tall radiator in there. The one currently installed is 20" W x 21 3/4" T overall. It cools the stock sbc 305 currently installed fine. Does anyone know anything that might fit within those dimensions, preferably something that we could find in a junkyard? We're just trying to keep the tradition of this car with a mix match of junkyard parts that have already been installed by past owners since 67'. I've found the 64-66 mustang radiators would work and will go that route if we can't figure something else out. Thank you in advance if you might know of something we could look for.

Yup first thought was first gen mustang. I run a northern branded aluminum one from speedway. I think the bolt pattern on the radiator is generic and not specific to mustang and they, or at least did, offer outlets in different positions so you don’t have to get creative making the hoses work

My Plymouth coupe<<<< uses the radiator from a 60's Dodge Dart(6 cyl). Cools the SBC fine.
Also look at late 70's Ford PUs with the six. Both have the correct hose outlets for a SBC.
For my '34 Plymouth I used a new Champion aluminum rad built for a 28-29 Model A. Fits the shell perfectly.

I bought a '32 Ford Hi Boy radiator when I was building my '39 Chev coupe as Chev V8 radiators for my '39 were stupid priced. The '32 Ford aftermarket radiators are so popular that they are one of the least expensive sold new. Mine cost $149 off Ebay, and my well built SBC runs 180 degrees, even idling in high 90's temps.
I see them lately for much less than I paid 2 years ago.

Take your current radiator into a rad shop to see if they can repair it.

I have used '65 Mustang on a couple of builds. If the engine isn't too big or radical I don't see a down side.
'Cept maybe they are rare in junkyards. Aftermarkets are available relatively cheap.

I’m running a Champion aluminum Mustang style that is set up for a late model 5.0 Ford with a right top hose and left bottom. Cools it fine.

Thank you for all the suggestions guys, I really appreciate it. I'll do some checking but it seems like the Mustang and '32 Ford might be the best options given the new prices are pretty reasonable. Thanks again!
