Never been there before myself. Might have never attended if a friend hadn't invited me to ride shotgun with him to haul his car down there. Mighty glad I could take him up on his offer.

Sure, it was loaded with Street Rods but it wasn't hard to find plenty of Hot Rods, Customs and other great old cars and trucks included in the mix. I had no idea of the scale and scope of this show but was gladly educated about it. And I know I didn't see everything there was to see over the course of the weekend. But here's some of what caught my eye.

If you're not bored looking at these cars and trucks yet (I wasn't), here's another batch of photos for you! Did I happen to shoot any HAMBer's vehicles?

This '35 Oldsmobile is gorgeous! Saw it on display a couple years ago at the Newport Hill Climb. :)

The vent windows are factory, not hand-made.

The owner said they were originally an available accessory but not cheap or easy to find. Think he said they were cast and plated and he wasn't keen on cutting them down to accommodate his chopped top. So he milled these out of aluminum and polished them out.

HOGWASH, EVERYBODY KNOWS THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE AT THE STREET ROD NATIONALS AND ITS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME !

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    Just Kiddin :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Great pictures, especially the one I'm in. Thanks for posting them. You hit the nail on the head when you said "I had no idea of the scale and scope of this show but was gladly educated about it. And I know I didn't see everything there was to see over the course of the weekend."

People who have never attended do not realize how many cars there are to see. If every car there was not allowed to move once parked, I don't think anyone could physically take a picture of every one of them during the show. There is just more there than most peoples physical endurance can handle, not to mention seminars and vendor booths. Its an awsum display of a hot rodding potpourri and a chance to meet and talk with lots of nice........make that "very nice" people. Hopefully you'll make a return trip next year. Thanks again for the photos.:D

So you're saying that I shot a HAMBer in Louisville!? Well I'll see your HOGWASH and raise you a BALDERDASH!

Pics or it didn't happen! Or more accurately, I guess, which of my shots allegedly did the deed? Stand up proudly and show yourself, or your car, or whatever it is I supposedly shot. That way I can take better aim the next time! :p

Considering the size of the show, the crowds, the heat, people cruising the fairgrounds, etc., I don't believe I heard a discouraging word all weekend. Well except when I kind of got my foot run over just a little bit. But otherwise, the show staff, spectators, vendors and participants were taking it all in stride and seemed to be having a large time of it.

It didn't happen to be when you were standing at a vendors table and made a quick 180 degree pivot..........did it? I ran over a guys foot on my scooter when he turned around all of a sudden just as I was pulling up.:D
