I’m hoping someone may know something about this old Chevrolet dealership in Detroit. The license plate frame is about 14” long so I ***ume it is the 1940s-1955 Michigan plate size. Tried googling for information about not much available. Thanks
Google shows West Vernor is the street name, not a person's name, was around from the 1920's 3955 W Vernor
Thank you for your help. Do you know what year this dealership closed? From what I could find Kessler Chevrolet was also on West Vernor highway at about the same time.
This is the original Kessler's built at same location in 1923. Info on old car dealerships is very hard to come by. Kessler was also a car manufacturer starting in 1917 and folding in the 20's ....related? Old city directories are a great source of info....if you can find one online or the real deal. You might want to go thru this when you have some time. https://www.detroityes.com/mb/showthread.php?960-Old-Car-Dealers-in-the-Detroit-Area Designed by Samuel E. Remey.
