Hi, went to the 51st all Ford picnic today. Rumor is that this will be the last one. Will try to post some photos. Nice pictures. I went to a show down here in southern Oregon Saturday and mine was the only 50s ford.

This has been one of my all time favorite shows for years. Being ALL FORD, they always have things show up you haven't seen for years or maybe ever. I know, this is outside of this group but when was the last time you saw a 60's Ford Lotus Cortina, one was there! Who would have thought a 73 Pinto Squire wagon would have been at a car show 50 years ago? Several Pintos there and people were going nuts over them, "I used to have one......." , you can guess the rest. Everything from model T's to new Shelby mustangs, all Fords. My kind of show. If that is the same All Ford show that was at Woodburn dragstrip I went years ago. I ended up drag racing a T touring car against my Model A Townsedan-it won. But not by much! It was a neat show if I remember right.

Sad to hear if it's that last one. For the Fab Fords at Irwindale It's essentially and all mustang show now so really worth going anymore. thanks for the pictures.

It has always been at the State Park as long as I have been going BUT I don't claim to know where it was at for 51 years! I do know at one time it was on Easter Sunday and they had egg hunts for the kids for many years.

I hear what you are saying Abe, I grew up in Oregon but moved to LA in the early 70's. I was at Irwindale drag strip weekly till they tore it down to build the Miller brewery. The city AND Miller lied to the racers about what they were going to do and how they did it. All the dragstrips around LA ended up closing. I was in a Ford club called Fabulous 50's in the 70's and we had a show every year at La Palma park. Loved the Ford show at Knots Berry Farm and the Goodguys Fathers day show at the Fairgrounds. Something for everybody but yes, most Ford shows now are dominated by Mustangs. That's okay too, My wife has a 66 Convertible but I like the 50's Fords the best. Moved back to Oregon in the 90's and found a club here with like minded people and still take my 55 Ford. It's always worth going for the most part!
