I’m with the keep them side. Besides I know you love the smell of chrome polish Billy.

  4. Well as I remember it we were missing the S.S. trim that runs down the center of the Hood. If that's still the case, I would be in a mindset of just losing everything Chrome on the hood and go with the hidden latch system. BUT,, you are running Fog Lights and an Oversized 3rd brake light. It's a hard thing to get total balance in a project like yours. I really like this look. Less is more in most cases. Your getting down to Final Make-Up before the Big Dance. Don't go out looking like a Hooker, get it right or,,,,,, and Damn you are close.

I'd put the whiskers on...that way the chin on the truck will match your chin:D

I’m not an extra trim guy and like all stock stainless on todays 30’s-60’s rides and would leave all your stock hood trim in any case. These are not like the “extra” trim on fender edges in the 50’s. To me they add to a classy look on your pickup. I would keep them…..
PS: If you sold them for beer money….the beer would soon be gone and really nothing to show for the trim but a memory.

The trim is what makes it a 41. The waterfall ornament also looks weird in my opinion without the whisker trim.

Your truck looks very nice! That chrome/SS will look amazing on it!

And this is how I am leaning. If the holes were not present I would likely forget them. I haven't even test fitted them yet. I'll work on that tonight and throw up a picture with the waterfall and whiskers.

  20. Lookiing at more of these photos you may need to use them to get a good finished fit to the grill. Without them the Hood looks short sitting on the Grill.

This weekend is a busy one but next week we can get a hand from one of the guys and fit that hood, you can supervise. I am pretty sure I need to drag the nose over 1/2" to the right but the hood will tell us that.

True that! A buddy of mine tied one on in Sin City and came home with a wife and a baby. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there...sometimes it follows you home.

The whiskers are unique and cool. With all the accessories you have, I think they'll fit right in.

“You ain’t got a thing if you ain’t got the bling!”
The 41 waterfall needs the whiskers.
If you were closer I could help your indecision by trading that old hood for mine.
Have you checked with your advisor?:D
Sometimes it’s better to ask her in advance, whether you follow her advise is a different matter.

    Now those are proper whiskers!

My wife has the crazy notion that I overdo everything. Women!

Drapes do need to match the carpet. Good observation.
