so to the guys running a quickchange with gearing for around town and then a different set for the highway, what do you set the calibration for? as long as you know the speedometer is off, and in what direction and by how much, then you just drive accordingly.
never had a working speedometer in the 46, the roadster will have a 35-36 plymouth speedo if i ever get around to discussing it with e1956v

my last car had a quick change.
I got pretty good at the guessing game but
mostly just slow in town and match speeds in traffic.
I think the quick change is more a race part and the driver is looking more at the tachometer than the speedometer

Columbia two speed rear ends had an adapter that engaged when switching between ratios.
With a quick change I think you would calibrate to the most used ratio and then figure out and compensate when a gear change was made for other circumstances.
@silent rick I have 3 35 Plymouth 6" speedo's ready to go I have a little more wiggle room on the 100 MPH
    unit in the HAMB classifieds.

It would probably be cheaper to go through yours, as with these I have to make up my purchase price for the units before rebuilding them. When you're ready just drop me a PM and we can discuss it, I didn't mean to hijack Paul's thread with a solicitation. Sorry Paul.
