Once again, it's time to throw out my annual offer, this year another HAMBer and I are driving from Las Vegas to the Ventura Nationals, at the end of August, and we will transport something for you TO Ventura or from Ventura BACK to Vegas, for free. For those that have not seen me make this offer for the last decade or so, please understand, I'm not taking anything away from the HAMB members who transport for a living, instead this offer is meant to help someone buy something that they might p*** on BECAUSE of the cost of shipping. We're already travelling this route, so we might as well drag some cool, old **** around for some folks, right? In the past, I've delivered a COOL 302 c.i. straight six engine, 2 transmissions, multiple sets of hubcaps, and even a pair of pink flamingo Martini gl***es for HAMBers, and almost a complete '32 Ford body! This is a fine gesture from these guys. This is how things should be. A few years back when I still lived in Connecticut, Mike Guffey contacted me, and asked me if I could pick up a pair of Goodyear slicks and deliver them to Hershey for him. The slicks were in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, about 20 minutes away from me at Seb Fontana's house, I got to meet Seb, and delivered them to Mike at Hershey. I didn't want to get paid for my efforts, but Mike insisted on at least giving me gas money. I reluctantly took the money. But I still would have done it for free. That's how things used to be.
