Neat show and activities at Heritage park Amesbury, Ma. Ted Stanwood memorial best in show went to Steve Borgret's 32 3 window. Which was metal worked by John Manning. That's John's incredible model A sedan next to it.
Thanks for the pics @wheeldog57. What is the engine in the late A roadster, I don't recognise the exhaust manifolds? And what is that thing with the opera coupe window parked next to it? Boy, that channelled 33 5 window coupe with the 32 grille is pure 60's Aussie style hot rod but you'd have to chuck out that Chev and fit a Y block then it would be spot-on. Also heaps of pics of the metalmans Tudor and no pics of the trophy winners 32-3 window.
Hey @swifty The engine in the A is a Chrysler 440 The car next to it is a 52 Chevy The channeled 33- Ted swapped a 35 5 window straight across for that! Here's more of Bogrets duece coupe
That A tudor with the 33/34 grille does'nt look half bad. Never have seen that before, but I dont get out often. Mitch
Your right Mitch there is a lot of nice work on that car. I hope we will see more progress in the future..
Thanks for that @wheeldog57 that 32-3 window coupe definitely deserved more pics and I gather that it's a new build when he is parked next to the metalman's Tudor. Fantastic work on the Tudor but I'd take that coupe first even though I am a 5 window man. That Chrysler 440 had me puzzled, that's a big engine for that A roadster. Was the channeled 33 an old build that been rebuilt ? And the Cordoba, not a pretty car but most stuff after 1970 had lost its appeal.
