Now since I’ve gotten back into Hot Rods and all I have noticed that the HAMB is mentioned quite often in the magazines that I get. I’ve been here since the mid 2000’s and it’s amazing how much this crazy dream of Ryan’s has grown and kept the roots of the rod and custom traditions alive. I’ve seen us mentioned and referenced in the Goodguys Gazette, Hemmings Motor News, and now the National Woodie Clubs newsletter. This was in this month’s Woodie Times talking about the restoration or wrapping the steering wheel for a better feel and grip. IMG_0980.jpeg IMG_0979.jpeg

  3. It is even in the mouths of the mid west builders. We bought our current project from a man in Topeka. A professional body man he normally builds high end cars for the Gold Chain Brigade (no offense intended). When we were dealing on the car he turned to his wife and said, "He's gonna build a HAMB car out of it," then smiled really big.

What’s a trip is how that’s changed in the last 25 years. There was a point that the hamb was a dirty word in print. Cars that had been prominently featured on the then waaaaaaaaay smaller site were more than once refused from being featured in print because of it.

the magazines saw the threat way before they began circling the drain.

Here’s an example of a search I might use in google.

“Early Ford Lockheed Brake Adjustment HAMB”

The older Hamb was way more insulting to put it mildly.
