IMG_0935.jpeg IMG_0933.jpeg I love eagle beak headlights. It makes this car a dead giveaway. ERRR, I tried taking the pic with new non flip phone both ways.

Is this Kevin Andersons Merc. I always thought it was Gas Ax `s Merc from Michigan. He has a 40 foot car trailer and hauls Kevins cars to and from shows. He built turned Kevinss Cad from a 4-dr to a 2-dr convertible. IMG_0206.jpeg bump

yup, my Pal Terry Tower chopped and built that car in the mid 90's. I talked to the current owner and he was under the impression that it was chopped in the fifties... but it was not. Sadly my pal Terry has dementia and even though he used to stop here every single day for over 20 years now he does not know me... pretty sad, he is only 66

There was a picture of Queen of the Fifties in Mike Keys book Wild Lead Sleds in 92. Being from Western Ohio, it has been there a few times. IMG_0953.jpeg IMG_0147.jpeg IMG_0148.jpeg

He also has a primmer`d 48 Studebaker with a Carson style top. The car had been widened to accept the crown Vic frame and running gear.

I first saw Wayne Jones Shoebox in Springfield Ohio KKOA show in 83. I have always loved this car. Didn`t see it again until 9 years ago at the CCR in Indy. I often looked at it in the Hot Rod Show World 1982 Annual. IMG_1032.jpeg IMG_1031.jpeg IMG_0386.jpeg IMG_0382.jpeg bump

IMG_1031.jpeg I love long term ownership of cars. I always called it Sh-Boom from the license plate in the photo above. Did I mention it has a HEMI in it. IMG_0385.jpeg

Every time I see a picture of Wayne with his curly hair, I think of my next-door neighbor, Richard. They could be twins.

Desert Rose owned by the Gambino`s. His dad built the car in the 80`s. His son and grandson found the car in Texas after being sold more than a few years back and now show it in his memory. Don`t you just love the way the skirts are molded into the rear fender. IMG_0240.jpeg IMG_0239.jpeg IMG_0242.jpeg

@Moriarity can fill in the details better than I, since he`s from Minnesota. So, this is a clone of the car that went from Minnesota to the Barris shop to have work done on it. The original still had the blue interior in it and was never changed. Check out the cololest tail lights ever on a 59 Chevy. I have seen this car more than a few times. Thus is why I only took 2 pic`s of it. IMG_0370.jpeg IMG_0364.jpeg bump.

This thing is pretty neat. It started life as a 4-dr. He did a 2-dr conversion. Cut the roof off and added a Carson style top. The rear window (off a hardtop) is now the windshield. With a 55 front clip. IMG_0270.jpeg IMG_0269.jpeg
