I've got first dibs. I'm hoping to get over there to take a look in the next week or so.

Are you even allowed to drive something that’s not a 40 ford?

I did drive the '37 for 9 months, so I think I could do it as a "gateway" convertible on the way to a '40 convertible.

The panel truck made it safely to its new home in Royal Palm Beach, FL.

I'm extremely happy that it went to someone who "gets it" for what it is. Looking forward to seeing what is next for the panel truck!

That's about 50 miles south of me. Hope to see it out on the blacktop soon.

The Lovely Miss Lynda and I took a ride south to see Ross and his new wheels. We see each other several times a year but I've never been to his house and shop before. Bret, you and Clay need to make a trip down. I suggest the first weekend in March. 20230909_121532.jpg

It was quite a hoot getting this photo sent to me from Ross last Saturday. I was up in St Louis with Clay at the 10th Annual St Louis Area Hot Rod Hundred. I also greatly appreciated the fact that you were wearing your 1st generation Bret Chrismer's Mustache Wax t-shirt, Lee! Pretty much every time I have talked with Ross, or gotten messages from him since he's had the panel truck, at some point in the conversation he asks, "Did I mention that I LOVE this truck?", which we have both laughed about.

While I definitely miss the truck, it was a super cool life experience. From buying it, working with Meeker to get it on the road, getting to have some road trip adventures, and then sending it off to it's new home. I definitely look forward to seeing what Ross does with it, and I hope he has at least half the fun as I did in the short amount of time that I owned it.
