I don't know Brad at all, but have been thinking about him recently & have been wondering how he is going...
My shed - or shop for those in the northern hemisphere - was built 13 years ago, part of it is on stumps with a wooden floor was pulled down & relocated from a farm about 40 miles away, it was originally built more than 100 yrs ago & the other part is new but made to look old & match the first part. The plan was to build something that could have been there for many years. It's not anything like the Lynnwood Av building, nor will anything close to the same significance be built here, but I trying to bring the illusion that it has been here for a long time. It's a mess so no good photos at the moment.
Spoke with Brad yesterday, he was thinking about hitting the Ventura Nationals??? It seems like he’s fine health wise, but like most are experiencing, it’s a tough time we’re living in these days. He’s in the northern part of the state where he grew up, I think that we all really need his talent down here, I’ve got a chopped 51 Mercury that could use his skills. Hopefully he’ll be able get back to “Kustomland”.
Thanks, good to hear & great to hear he has friends who have his back & are keeping tabs on him. Hopefully he is able to get 'back' to Kustomland
FishFry, that shop is spectacular! Great username, too. Over the last few years I've been putting a lot of effort into my shop, which was built as a meat market in 1896. Not very old by European standards, but ancient in my area of Wisconsin. I'm always amazed by how small/modest a lot of the shops were that the greats used back in the 50's and 60's. Most of them seemed to only have one overhead door and weren't the cavernous shops we see today. It makes their work all that much more impressive.
Thanks And yeah, since I'm running a Fish carb in the 41, I thought it's a fitting name (also the name of the Chevy - and yes, I name my cars).
