I would love to get my hands on some of these. Take a look, you might find some inspiration...the last pic is my favorite. http://englishrussia.com/?p=311#more-311
Great pictures. They're all knock-offs of American and European designs, cool as heck though, bet you could buy one for near nothing.
Man, I'd like to have a few of those myself. Some of those 50's - 60's mini cars are killer. You've got to like that Russian lettering on the hood of that little red one in the middle. I wonder how much to ship one from RUSSIA!!!! Couldn't be more than a couple thousand!
Notice the orientation of the continents and seas in the globe on the third picture? I can't quite tell how it is oriented but definitely not the way we show the globe here in America or even Europe I bet. Those knockoffs of the early fifty GM's are pretty cool.
It is a carbonated water dispenser. You put a gl*** in it and it fills ya right up. I'm guessin atleast 30 years old.
Dad had a couple Yakovlev aircraft shipped out from Moscow (actually Smolensk) a couple years back; I think that the shipping to Seattle was about $2500; think that may have been for his one of the 2 planes in the container. I guess the way to do it is to get someone to fill a container w/ cars; should be able to get a bunch of iron in a 53 foot container. There are a whole lot of eastern european guys who all advertise the same russian planes all over the internet. They're basically guys who know who owns the planes, and are trying to broker a sale. But these guys would probably be happy to arrange for a couple cars, and some Ural and Dnepr bikes to go in a box if they stood to make a ruble. -bill
http://englishrussia.com/?p=329 Check out this rebodied BMW M6 built to look like a cl***ic Volga. Apart from the wheels it looks great.
