I know you are hurting and hitting anything on a Harley is not funny. But I gotta say this if the first time I have ever heard of someone hitting a Kangaroo on a motorcycle. But I live in Minnesota in the USA so no Kangaroo's.

Having done the same its surprising its not as uncommon as you would think ......

Mate having broken ribs then tried to do too much too early and breaking them again after they had started to meld a few weeks out, which was NO FUN, would suggest taking it easy and if you really want to get the car to the show get some mayes to help load it on a tralier and take it that way. A slghtly bitter pill no doubt... Good luc with it

I actually tried that, and it didn't help... Even tried starting it. As I say, it was properly stuck!

I did more or less this. I had a clamp pushing from the chassis rail on a 1/4" extension through that hole pressing against the oil pump to hold it in place. Was pretty secure.

Yeh. I haven't actually touched it over the past few days, the likelihood of having it running by next weekend is fast slipping away. Just so hard to get anything done beyond the basics of doctors appointments etc, with the pain and rest requirements.

  5. Add a Windfield head and 2 carb intake and it'll be a screamer, the counterbalanced crank is really good too.

How much advantage (besides cool factor) does the Winfield head have over the 6:1 Snyder? Not saying it doesn't, genuine question!

@metalhead140 Winfields are reported to be about the best head for a banger - after-all one was recorded at Muroc at 138mph in 1938

Didn't get the car together. My recovery has been slower and harder than I had (unrealistically) hoped. But I did get out to Gulgong for a look.

  10. Any idea of a part number for that? Is it a diaphragm?

Yeh sure, I bought a Luk clutch kit, part number 07-038. Yes it's a diaphragm type. Keep in mind that I haven't had it in the car to drive it yet. It all looks to work properly when bench testing it though. The Model A driven plate is a little thicker than the Mustang one, I thought I might need to shim the pressure plate, but it appears that it should work ok without any shimming.

  12. Cool if it works with the stock thrust bearing.

  13. What exactly has been done to the suspension of this car? The stance looks perfect with the chop and with the 19" wheels.

Pictures remind me of the "Twilight Zone". Couple of people in the background and the rest of the town, deserted.
