The little 33 looks to be a one off build from scratch if not they cut the shit out of that thing. Cool show look like one for the bucket list.

I stand corrected...I suppose there has been a history of unbelievable stuff that one wound up driving beside...this would be no different...I have enough trouble with blind spots in my ride, that's in a different league...it's well done and amazingly has drum brakes and visually leans back more than forward...

Maybe to drive it you remove the top insert and put on the goggles. :D

Having attended Shades of the Past for many years and sorry to have that end we decided to try the Triple Crown show. We were not disappointed. Big turnout of vendors, cars for everyone’s tastes and just a relaxed atmosphere. I like checking out the high dollar builds- yes I did lay down on the asphalt to check out the underside of Jack Chisenhalls AMBR winner. So much unbelievable talent to build these cars. Will be returning next year.

@Motorwrxs - Thanks for posting pics.
That's about the only way it would work. I'd get a terminal case of claustrophobia in that thing.

It's a modern spin on Ratfink/Zing and this has actually been going for a good part of the Hamb era...I'm thinking PPE, small bodies with insane engines...

It reminds me of a Topalino size wise...that's why they can fit in it I guess...

There was another recent build here that drew some flack but it was well done and ran but crazy Fink like and that was the goal...I was even thinking it might be one of those guys in that inspiration...

Your right, seeing things like this inspire one to think of things your alluding...

It has probably been done already...

That Omaha 34 that came out of hiding a year or so ago was near as radical and was made streetable...it would be a crazy ride to drive too but a little more visibility than this one...Guys who build this stuff have to be careful on the open road that's all I gotta say...

Ok Car proven to drive on street ,
But for how long before wrecked !?
""Stu"" whats your experience like riding/ driving , can not see your surroundings , Nor others , Has to be all blind spots ,
It looks to be Nice build ,
But Not for Street driven ,
I sure the coupe would be pulled over Here in Va , & we have relaxed Vintage tag Laws ,,
I can not imagine driven 55 mph on Street even my road that 1-1/2 mile long @ 25 mph with about 20 drive ways ,
Or Beside a SUV or 18 wheeler o_O
I have seat time in a Ride Looking down 1/4 mile with only visual was /is between valve cover & side of blower in my Face with only a view @
11& 1 o'clock,, No 12 unless pretty much looking straight up!!

Same here. Local officials would have a field day with that 34. I'd get the fish eye from the law when I used to drive one of deuce highboys.

I donot wish harm to car or driver
Odds would be against it making it 10 hours continuous driving be for a scratch that could not be rubbed OUT !!!
    Even in Bama
If we're talking about Alabama, I was in state about 5 miles hit some big critters crossing the road,

Again the laws dictate what can navigate the roads...I thought no, they say yes...the builder created an eyecatcher/business prop, probably completely safe mechanically and without a doubt a conversation piece...hope no one gets hurt...not the first time crazy stuff gets plates...

Any more Hamb Friendly's from the event ladies and gents...remember no hot wheels...heck thats what I think of when I see them...:D

Lots of creative Hotrod/Custom from the lesser knowns as well...

Again nice to see shows that happens without a hitch...

This one is street driven. Did everyone stop bitching about Jake Jacob's mechanical brakes? How long did that bitch fest last? Jeeze.... Oh, as far as how long it could be driven, My Roadster is about a 2 hour car, maybe 3. After that you're looking for a place to get out of it.

I'm not bitchen, I stand corrected that the ride is streetable and many Hotrod/Customs suffer from visibility and drivability issues...mine included...we are insured and take responsibility for our time in them...stay safe out there...that's all I can say...

  22. Is this the original Doug's Headers Corvair restored? Or is it a recreation? If I'm not mistaken, I believe Larry Watson painted the original.

I would & do say the same thing about the 406 coupe, It does have a side mirror ( 2) No head lights unless hidden in grill , witch at least 1 required
Im sure in lower 48 ,
But not about tags & mechanically safe ,,,,, ""Its about be able to see "" surroundings!!
    And driving defensively!!

30'years ago maybe in my area,
Both probably with a death Grip ,,
    ( both coupes )
My none chop are task during the day ,I would say they are distractions to other drivers not seeing old cars regularly.

Im 45ish miles from DC straight down Interstate 95 out of Big city traffic Last city heavy traffic Woodbridge, Im still 15 miles south of, Its 10 mints to 10 oclock Pm now , from me south ,next 25 miles 3 lanes & separate hov 2 lanes ( south ) I am sure you could not make it for the next 25 miles @ speed 65-80 mph , then roughly another 45 miles to Richmond,
20 year ago we would get out on 95 with taller cars & race 4-5 mints breaks in between traffic , Not No more car after car even 2am

I started a thread on ron's car "the Eight Ball Special" so this one can stick to the triple crown show which was outstanding, so many top cars in one place was pretty nuts
