Already pulled spark plugs and put some Marvel Mystery oil down each cylinder to soak, the plus, motor is not seized, many years of desert dust to clean, it's going to take a while, but confident he will turn over, new plugs, wire set, distributor cap, rotor, points and condenser ordered, needs upper and lower hoses, C-4 oil filter and oil change. Always wanted the flathead 8, worked on 4 and 6 cyls in my time. Thanks for stopping by for a look and welcoming me here, Jack

Yeehaw! No horse, maybe a donkey or two and a couple goats. Rustic patina. Yep!

The 8rt flathead should have a large oil pan clean out (hopefully). Remove the clean out cover and make sure the oil pump pick up is clogged with sludge before you try to get it to fire. At least that's what I would do. But JMO.

Hi Eddy, from the info I gathered from the grandson, grandpa and grandma passed away years ago, their business stopped it time, found receipts in the dash and glove box since 1960s. Been in the family all these years until I acquired it. I felt it was fitting to keep the trailer with the truck, electric brakes, hook ups both there. When I look at them, it's like time has stood still all these years, I love the rustic patina.

The trailer reminds me of my early years on the farm when I hooked my homemade single horse trailer behind my 55 Chevy short box and went to all the horse shows in the area with my little black Morgan mare. Probably should have stuck with horses?

Great story, glad this trailer brought you back to your memories. I believe the grandpa owner built it from scratch and in the front nose, there is tack storage with a door. The framing above is suppose to have a canvas top from what I was told. I may fab something later.

IMG_20230912_113836700~2.jpg After going through the interior and finding lots of old receipts and lit. from '63-65, the ones I could save are now preserved in a small photo album. In memory of Cactus and Mary of WMS quarter horses here's a duo photo fold-out of the '49 Ford F1 and trailer. The history goes back to their ranch in Nevada "The Lazy 8". Take care y'all and go turn some wrenches, Jack
