Finished sanding and primer in the frame. So tonight I sprayed the first coats of paint on it and pretty happy with the product. There's some little things wrong on it but it doesn't gotta be perfect since the period for it is mid 40s during world war 2
Excellent work here dude, keep it up. I was fortunate to meet Larry Watson when visiting Barris's shop in 1960. He was very cordial to a young buck of 16. I was treated so nicely by all these guys and treasure the memory.
If y'all are going you can see cherry pie in action in the model car room. First show its been in 3 years!
Sorry for the late post. Besides me saying it's going to something and bailing the last 3 years it actually made it's 2nd debut at the 20th pistons and paint! It felt really good getting it at there and seeing everyone looking at it and taking pictures of it
It's a new project but I've been wanting to build this bike for 2 years. It's a April 20th of 1967 Schwinn stingray. Going straight early 60s lowrider on it and the colors for that one are 1962 Impala corona cream with gold Murano pearl
Ok monthly update. Or two. Got a seat post and super sport headlights and taillights with playboy bunny charms that I'm gonna put in the custom lenses. Posting pics soon
its funny, i never painted my bikes, i always took the fenders off and stuck a card on the chain guard. from a fellow teen, that paint looks amazing, keep it up.
Alright here's the picture of it now I got the rims on with the mock up fork ordering a gooseneck soon for the handlebars and the next part is the Schwinn and chopper handlebars
Drawn up the upholstery pattern for the seat and gathering spare foam from wherever I can find it then saving up for the seat materials
Getting my homies stroller and tricycle ready for the Original Lowrider super show coming this Saturday
Nothing much tonight besides putting the straight fork back on cherry pie and using the springer for the Mellow Yellow project
Well, the first attempt didn't turn out so good put too much pressure on one paint and ended up making a dent and it also didn't help that the pipe bender was a little too small but the second attempt turned out better now all i need to do is buy another fork arm and start over
