Guess I'll be the first to post in the GMC COE section. I own two GMC COE's. A 1952 450 series 3 ton COE, & a 1952 470 series 3 1/2 ton COE, with full air brakes, & Factory front shock absorbers. See them here, http://community.webshots.com/user/snubnose4754

The 450 series 3 ton, & 470 series 3 1/2 ton GMC COE's, have larger fenders, & taller, wider steps, & step skirts, than the smaller 350 series 2 ton GMC COE's. This is to accomodate the larger, wider front axles, that were used on the Heavier COE's. These 450, & 470 series GMC COE's are hard to find. I couldn't find any on the East Coast, after searching for years. My 450 came from Indiana, & the 470 from Washington State.

Hi Guys, I have a 1938 GMC is on stock frame rails that have been streched by 32". Up front it has an early 80's one ton Chevy van front suspension with Air Bags. Out back it has a one ton dually Chevy rear end. For the engine & ****** it has a late 70's 350 Chevy V-8, turbo 400 ****** and a Gear vendor overdrive. It has a 15’ flat bed that lifts up hydraulically. Here are a few pics:

I just brought home a 39 Chevy COE tow truck last winter & I'm getting excited about starting on it. Your truck has the style I like. (heavy duty lowrider with the old-school look) Now that I'm retired from years of truck driving, I think I need another big rig to drive? Your COE has got the style down perfect...

Yes, but the driver rear is the p***enger side and the bottom of the door is off a 50 chev p/u because off the fender opening had to be cut out and had to add 2 " to the front of the door and make a new inner jamb for the door and the rear door is suicde! Hope to be back working on it next month ,been working on my new garage for the last 6 months
