What I need to know is the exact placement of the radiator support rods on the firewall and also
on the radiator. There's a bracket on my radiator; I ***ume that's where one end goes - just need to know the spacing, and also need to know the height and spacing of the rod brackets on the firewall. I bought the support rods along with the firewall brackets, just need to know where to put them. Thanks, Jim IMG_8904.jpg IMG_8905.jpg

Thanks, BJR -- that gives me an idea of where to put them.

No problem. I didn't have any idea how to install the rods, had never seen them before,
at least now I have something to go by. Thank You!

Original firewall w/factory rod mounts still used…and also some pics of front mounts on an older Walker and new Johnsons (based on the newer Walker model).
    Hope they help.

I can measure an original firewall and give you the dimensions for the firewall bracket mounting. If you buy the mounting brackets from Vintique they come with rivet head style bolts which look like those on @BJR firewall.
Also the mounting bracket does not look right as it has to be on an angle to match the angle at which the rods come in from the firewall. Angle must be correct otherwise the rods will not set level when tightened. Also please paint your radiator satin black ( I hate alloy radiators)

The brackets are a left and a right due to the angle, they are slotted on the top so the rods can drop in to them.

The holes for the brackets are located as shown here, the
2 1/4 dimension is measured down from the inside of the firewall flange.
