Fuel pump has not arrived yet. He just dropped the tank to make sure there is no surprises. He'll call me when he's back on the road then I'll post it here.

  3. Any word?

Denise, don't know Jeff's (PBRmeASAP) route coming home from the Pileup, but I might be riding with him. What's up?

I just called Steve and he sadly reports that Summit screwed up and didn't send his pump out overnight last night like they said they would. And worse, it's going out today, UPS Ground. Hopefully he'll get it tomorrow. He's not too happy about that, but what's a guy to do?

He said that he's pretty bored and the only thing he really needs is a shower and he's going to get one at the TA truck stop that he's at.

He's now got quite a list of people to call if something comes up and he needs something. I guess at this point, any of us who can jump in their car/truck on a moments notice be halfway on alert for the next day or so, just in case.

ug... I could have sent one out yesterday if I knew it was going to come out like this... It looked like everything was taken care of.

(I did have them in stock... I didn't put the 'P' before the part number... :( )

He should have called Jegs, they are just there in Delaware area not far from him. I wish I had an excuse to go to Columbus today, it's 150 miles though.

Denise, what do you need from Nashville? Anything I can carry on a plane or in a suitcase? I'll be in Spring Hill again in the next month or so and I've got a guy from there coming this way in the next week or so.

Danimal, FWIW, Summit is replacing a toasted pump. Steve would hav had to pay for one from Jeg's. 'Course at this point, that might have been a good investment...

I'd like to get a couple of pieces of Caddy side glass from the PileUp to Earl Schieb in Hartsville, Tn which is just outside of Nashville. If your passing thru that way on the way home perhaps Earl Schieb could meet you at an exit off the freeway.

Pick up from me at the HunnertCarPileUP. It will be securely packed and ready to go. Drop off on Sunday (or whenever your passing thru Nashville area) directly to Earl Schieb. I'll give you his number and him yours, with a rough idea on when you think you'll be in that area and you two can discuss an exact drop off point, of course, where it's most convinent for you.

He's arranging the purchase right now with the guy who lives very close to me. I'll keep you updated via PM. Thanks bud!

Don't mean to bust in on this BUT, what the hell is the problem with gettin a damn fuel pump to the guy?? shit!! waitin like this for a part that should be no problem turns into a total screw up.I really can't believe that nobody has been able to help here. I thought Summit and Jegs were all about gettin the parts to you fast. This is total bullshit!!

  24. makes you think twice about spending you hard earned $'s with them....

  25. cool, let me know.... gotta be home sunday night and will be passing through....

i checked the h.a.m.b. frappr map and found a dozen people within easy driving distance from Jeffersonville.
somebody could have picked up a fuel pump and dropped it off by now,and our guy could have asked for a refund from Summit instead of sitting at a truck stop for three fucking days!

as far as the "helper" pages goes, you don't have to take me out because i never signed up in the 1st place.for good reason.
if someone needs help out here i'll just go help them.

yorgy, I'm one of those who are 'within easy driving distance'. However, as I said in my first post on this thread, my DD is out of commission due to a serious brake issue. If it weren't for me working out of my house, I'd be fucked this week as well. Cool your jets dude. I feel as though I might just as well be in San Jose too. I pride myself as being a good little Boy Scout and helping anyone I can, when I can. This just wasn't the best time for me.

However, I did call Stevie and spoke to him. While it might have been the overall disgust of the situation, he didn't sound all that stressed. He seemed to almost be down playing it a bit.

He chose to wait on the part from Summit that was a warranteed replacement part as opposed to shelling out the cash for one from somewhere else. As far as Summit dropping the ball, that's for Steve and Summit to work out. Steve said there were several who called him offering help.

I'm not trying to yell at yorgatron or anyone. Just trying to put things in perspective. What's done is done, move on. Getting all pissed off ain't gonna help anyone. Unless you're talking to the folks at summit face-to-face maybe...

My god I can't believe this. There are tons of Hambers within 1 hour of this guy and he's still setting. For Gods sakes I drive one way an hour to work everyday. I could have stopped after work in Akron and drove five hours to him and beat all of you. Yes, i know Summit screwed up but My God, I would have paid for one myself at Jegs if i had to get him on the road with this much down time. yes, I'm am disgusted.

let me know and i will leave Akron at 6:00pm tomorrow after work and I pick up the part at Summit. I will Pm you my cell number. Thanks Rick
