Hello, Building my Roadster almost from nothing but with care about details.I would like it to look original. I know there are many posts asking for dimensions and sometime it can be annoying. Could someone please make measurments for me ( bending angles would be awesome ) + width of the whole part...detailed pictures are also very welcome. Here are couple of pictures from my build. Parts made completly from scratch: Thank you in advance!
I have a brand new set of United Pacific trunk side gutters that I haven't installed yet. I can't help you with bending angles but maybe I could trace the outline on some paper and mail it to you. this would give you the contour outline. I could post some details pics and measurements too. Those parts look outstanding!
That would be great ! I realy want to be so close to original as possible. My build will be traditional style i think early 40`s ...painted black of course. Thank you for kind words about my hand made parts. I realy love working with metal.
The height of the channel is about 0.7" overall but tapers to about 0.5 - 0.625 at the end as it curves down at the back.
The channel is only about 1.25" it varies as the top edge that gets hidden behind the quarter is quite uneven. You'll see this on the tracings.
So.... after some time I'm back. Thanks @deuceguy I could make some progress. All hand made with shrinker and stretcher, hammers , brake. Thanks again for help!
Amazing work ! Great fabricating skills that you have there. I am guessing that your avatar is also your own handiwork ? Is this going to be the build thread or can we find that elsewhere ? Thanks for posting.
Hello, Thank You very much for kind words. Yes the part pictured on avatar is also my work. So far I didn't started any topic but maybe I will. Not sure if I already made enough to show it. Building traditional style 32 roadster ...early 40's.style powered by 1938 one of the first 24stud engine.
Thank You guys, Yesterday painted with red oxide primer together with hand made rear panel. Thinking about starting my own thread....
