I'll look him up! The company I work for has spent a lot of money in trying to find the ad on CL! :D

i bought a set of 4 chrome steel slots in the rocket boxes for $150 a couple of years ago. they had been put on for one summer back in the 70s and then taken off for winter but the car car got sold and the wheels stored. the boxes are almost as cool as the wheels. they are 14 x 7 and match the wheels that were put on my gto in the 70s and really rusty when i got the car in 2011 so it was a win for me to find them.

Man I'm sorry, but I don't see that for the sedan shoebox. You can buy one done cheaper than build that thing. If you wanna build because you love to build, cool, but my shoebox was 15k, with a rebuilt flathead and all the bells and whistles added. I don't think you could build mine out of that hulk for anywhere near the price, and you'd still have a sedan if you did.....

  12. Not everyone’s vision is the same. Nor economics.
If ya can’t afford 15k then a car like this is an option. It’s kinda like making payments as you build it.
For me, this one wouldn’t get painted. Fix the woe, make it go.
    I’ve got a 51 merc im building.
Decent interior and the old paint is fine for me. $350 on the brakes, I’ll have about $1500 in the engine plus a clutch.
I’ve done crap like that many times.
The car is sold. Someone got a great start.

Buying one built isn't, and has never been the point. Why would I buy your build and have to remove all the stuff you did that I might not think is right? Unless I stood at your elbow and watched you through the build, and even then...
IDGAF what you put into your build. That's YOUR build.

  14. Maybe a forum for people that just buy cars.
They can discuss all their wise financial decisions.

Lol, you guys are funny. I've built and bought rides, and I see no problem with either decision. The simple fact is it costs more to build that car into my car. So yeah, I guess it's a wise financial decision!

However, my last build I did kinda what Anthony says, and I did pocket a good amount of cash, so depending on how you build, and your starting point with the car, it can still be something where you don't have to lose money.

My dad redid wood boats and he used to say 'you can get a Chris Craft for free and still pay too much' and the same is true for cars.

Building is great, and I'm not into cars to make money, but I'm not into bragging about losing it either....

Admitting to vehicle title fraud right in the for sale ad is a pretty bold choice.
