If it's a pre 1965 car/truck with modifications that could have been done before 1965, it should be ok. This is sort of the short version of the site rules. Hope this helps.
Just call then a '64 or '65 and you're fine. I was looking for a windowless A100, but I couldn't find one that wasn't a vat of rust.........then I bought my first Panel Truck. I'm still barely looking for a A100 p/u.
Not sure what the problem is, the A-Series Dodge/Fargo vans were introduced in 1964, and I think Ryan accepts vehicles later than 1965 if they are direct continuation (not a re-design) of a model introduced before the cut-off date (1965).
Correct If the body style didn't change, there are the rare few that are grandfathered in. The Dodge A100 PU / Van is one of them virtually unchanged into the late 60's.
Personally I would not mind A-100s making their appearence here, they seem to be glanced over in favour of the Corvans and Econolines...
One of the best damn MoPars I've ever had the pleasure of owning and driving. Prices have gone into outer space for them.
I had a '65 A-100 Dodge window van and used it for work & pleasure, it was equipped with a 273 V8 and a automatic transmission, unfortunately I blew up the engine but fortunately I found a recently wrecked Duster with a 340 engine that slid into place with no problem, I installed a aluminum intake & a Holly 4 barrel, dual point distributor & headers and that van would fly, the brakes were marginal. I absolutely loved that van but a drunk decided he didn't have to stop for a red traffic light and T-boned my van, that was the end of my A-100. HRP
Back in the 70’s, my grandpa had an A-100 pickup that I thought was pretty cool. It was a daily driver at the time. My teenage self was thinking hot rod. Grandpa not so much. My granny called it a “Butthead”. She may have been talking about grandpa though. I now return you to this week’s installment of “HAMBworthy?” already in progress.
Not from my recent experience..........a simple headlight and grill change to an existing design was deemed unacceptable.
Nice rides, whatever the actual year. Buddy and I were just talking lat week of our group riding to Martin MI US 131 dragway in a window A100. Five or six guys, and a tent, camping out and attending the drags. Slant six, shifter on the dash, oh boy, memories!
well that's what I remember from a discussion in which Ryan clarified the rule. I think the example was the 66 Ford F-Series. But maybe he had second thoughts. Best is to get in touch with one of the moderators before posting...
I think one of the other moderators deleted it. There was another photo also that didn't pass muster. I think generally what you said is correct.
im generally passed out before 5 ,so good there . although i have on ocastion woke up and started again . but the double hangovers are rough . im pretty sure the only changes between 64 and 70 were federally mandated marker lights/flashers . so might sneak bye there to . they really are dinosores . half the charm . i had one when i was 20 so its nostalgia to me . so thats a lot of boxes checked right ? oh sh$*t , its 3 . i gota start drinkn . keep an eye out and let me know if a cheap 426 comes along !
