Hot Rods tire black

i recently bought new front tires for my drag car i want remove or cover the white writing on then any ideas on how to do it without degrading the rubber ( it is really thin on the sidewalls)i used to use tire black and liked the look but it is no longer available

 

I had tires installed with the whitewall on the inside, then I painted the whitewall with this:

I’ve been using black leather shoe dye. Comes in its own applicator bottle. Tires mounted with the X white lettering to the inside of course.

 

I used a black paint marker and it didn’t last a year before rubbing off.
Not recommended…

 

Tyre black unavailable? I still use a can I had bought 30 years ago. Has the world gone mad?

If it's the same tire black I used in the 70's, it always reminded me of regular shoe polish, but in a Bigger can! On EBay !!
