In my sesrch for flow in my 32 5W coupe I come along many cars, some has it, some not, but thats personal ofcourse.
In front end I pretty much I had my ideas figured out but came over moved cross, flat cross etc but I guess I stick with my A cross and the A Ford dropped axle so I will be way higher in front thst this cars with 5” dropp and flat cross.
But I like it go as much traditional as possible both is trix and speed parts ( mechanics )
But this cool 5W came out seraching for flat front cross ( Steadyfast )
I wanted to expose engine but the new thing might be hood or atleast the top after look at hours at Tony T’s 5W.
But a black on black 5W and Dow 7 on the Halibrands fit my taste. That’s not new.
-But the question here what was told in movie, what is a ”tucked in” gas tank ?

Looks like the tank is just tucked in as tight as it can go and still keep the stock filler neck. Sweet ride for sure from Steadfast.

I've done a similar tank tuck. I trimmed off the lip on the front as much as possible, Mine had coil over suspension so I could move the tank ahead which necessitated moving the filler neck back, finally I made the spreader bar a flush mount to the tip of the shortened horns. Study the Steadfast 32 versus a stock coupe and the differences are obvious. Don't ask for pictures they went away in the great computer purge of 2019, not by choice.

Hank, yes tank moved as far forward as possible. As for this “A” build we had to drastically alter the front of the tank because of interference with the quick change. Also had to build the mounting system because a Model A doesn’t come with rear tank. IMG_6421.png IMG_6424.png

I had a struggle to decide to use a std gas tank or not but I sold my QC as a std banjo feelt more ’street race’ for my ideas. I bought a very nice std tank and found a std cap plus a flip cap ( early aftermarket )
-Any ideas what that is and era ?
    Se picture.

Yes I see, I can ’tuck' or move tank in some, but my guess few or non did that late 40’s or early 50’s even if flow/look might be better. My guess this was to early days for this custom trix like that.

One idea is also use std 32 or A-Ford tail lights as I has 39’s but I don't feel to use them, better to has body smooth under trunk ( more clean look )
I has been into 37 tail lights aswell but see this black 5W I think its neat with A-Ford lights.
-But will I tuck the tank in, well we will se.
