I have a 56 ford club sedan - turning it into a g***er - just wanted to do something different - Body is off and i've been thinking very hard about chopping the roof. I have never seen one or herd of any on doing this. ANY info would be greatly appreactied. THANKS 46 CHOPPED.

  2. Last I checked Stupid and Possible were not mutually exclusive.

Sure it can be done and I've seen them done but I have no pictures to share. Doing it and making it look good is the trick now, isn't it. Since your going the g***er route, Laxan window would be a natural so the rear window would not be that much of a problem. Windhshield if you want to keep it gl*** could be pushed into the cowl by sinking the opening down.

  3. Oh BTW, you may want to post this in the regular forum or ask an adminstartor to move it for you. You got it in the "Intro" section.

Well this is actually my first chop so I'm kinda learning as I go here myself. We took out four inches. The A and B pillars are pretty straight forward because..... well, they are pretty much straight. You can see from the pictures we cut the roof in half to widen it to get them (A and B) to line back up. The C pillars pose the biggest problem, it all depends on what you want to do with the rear gl***. Right now we are trying to decide wether to sink the rear gl*** or use gl*** from a 50 merc so we haven't really gotten there yet. I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone else has some tips I would be appreciative as well.

CUT THE GL*** FIRST. then chop the top to fit the gl***. unless you are sinking the gl***...
