I will be on my way Sunday morning, Oct 1st. Looking forward to another road trip east. Just hit 175K miles on the roadster from my last trip to Nashville. I will be doing a once over on the nuts and bolts and an oil and filter change this weekend. Can't wait to join in the fun.

 

I plan to be there at least part of the weekend...just not sure how long yet.

 

I’m heading out Thursday morning. Picking up my son in St. Louis on the way. Really looking forward to the weekend.

same thing happened to me, I got a room at the extended stay America inn, they even honored the price of the hilton.

they had a few rooms left when I called.

 

Just found out my room reservation was cancelled as well. I’ll probably just be up for a day at this point since I have way too much going on anyway.

Make sure before you leave home for Bartelsville you have a hard copy of your room confirmation with the rate in your travel papers.

 

LOL I had a hard copy from when I confirmed 3 weeks ago I had them email me. Didn’t matter

Not gonna make it. No running hot rod, and my Airbnb gave away my reservation. Too much going on at home. Y’all have fun!

 

I will drive up there Friday morning to go on the reliability run. I have had a reservation for months, not at the host hotel. I’ll have to give them a call, just in case “a reservation is not really a reservation” is a common practice in Bartlesville.

 

I guess if I get there and get screwed around by the motel I'll stop by headquarters, collect my T shirt and drive back to Nebraska? I'm not much on confrontation these days. 4 hours each way. Maybe next year the new casino will be open and that will make rooms easier?

 

What does the word “reservation” mean down there in Oklahoma? Does the hospitality industry not really make promises?

 

Sounds like the 'host' hotel doesn't really want the Gathering at their place.

 

Well, I’m glad I logged onto the HAMB today. Econo Log of shit has never heard of me. I now have one of the last rooms a a very luxurious place called Studio 6. I’m sure my wife will appreciate the accommodations.

 

I used to have one just like that except for yellow paint. They look better black. Nice car.

 

I know they had hoped it would open this year.

@redzula @Austin kays and I got the last minute shaft on our reservation at our house a couple weeks ago as well. But we got a solution figured out

as much money as this event has to bring in for down town the city is sending a pretty clear fuck off message to us all.
