If it came out of a Corvette, it was a Corvette motor at some point!

  3. OK, but... what's it going into?

Congrats on a fun, fiscally fortunate find!

I've never given a toot about what someone else thinks of my cars.
I have never opened the hood on a car at a show.

The pan will most likely go on Fleebay and let the wolves bid on it.

I'm not even a Chevy guy by any means but the whole package together is good enough to run with IMHO.. realistically, there's not enough really informed folks roaming my driveway to point out any discrepancies to me...
and IF I had one walk up on me in a parking lot, well, he's entitled to his opinion, but I don't have to listen to him

    JNKYARDDOG_1,

well, that is a sad state of affairs, I think it would fit just right in my '65 C10.

Correct carbs for a 245-270 with manifold. Three big bills on a bad day.

  10. If the offer is right... It would fit your truck nicely... Dont forget the drive out this way tho...:):D:):D

That's fair enough. I personally just don't want a car that's a carbon copy of all the others. That's generally what a sbc and auto powered car is. It's the same reason I don't drive a Toyota corolla. I don't like boring cars That's the same as the one next to it.

  12. I'd be interested in the intake..... wouldn't mind the carbs but not sure I could swing them lol

  13. Also the valve covers

  15. Yes it was! My buddy had 58 vette with that setup. All that I had was a crummy 55 vette. My vette was the first year for V/8s,265Hp
