    It arrived back. Tested and thankfully the ******** burned out before anything else bit the dust.

    Quietly hidden a 12-6v buck converter inside, and rewired the power switch to power it up.

    We have glowing bottles and music again.

    Put it back in the case. I need to scrub down and repaint the front cover because it was in and out of the dash a few times during fabrication of a support bracket and got a little dinged up.

    Rubbed the front down.

    Applied wrinkle black paint and stuck it in the oven at 205° for about 5 minutes.

    Comes out looking real pretty. Stinks the house up though.

    Once that's fully set, I'll re***emble the set and send it on its way.

    You did an amazing job! Look at that beautiful pentode glowing. Definitely inspiring to get fixing my own receiver.
