GG Lonestar HAMB meet and airshow at Propwash

Just got back from GG, saw a few HAMBers out and about.

Some cool cars inside and saw a P-47 and a P-40 overhead.

 

Don't do it!! Yeah it looks cool, but you have to keep polishing it everytime you turn around. After a while you start to hate airshows cause of the smoke drifts over and ruins your fresh polish job. or some jack*** walks up, rubs his finger into your wing and sez 'Damn is that Chrome?!?!?' and you spend the rest of the day polishing his fingerprints out!!! I could go on....

Trust me leave it painted, and fly the hell out of it.

I spent years polishing warbirds, so I know how much work it is.

It just looks that good.

Whats the difference between a Painted Swift and a Polished Swift at an airshow?
There is no gr*** around the polished one.
