Trying to get a seat for my Dodge coupe. I found one in Webster but the guy refuses to ship. Hoping someone on here could help me out by arranging shipping.

Its a little over an hour from me, Maybe we can start a chain of parts relay to get it to you?... I know sometimes guys are traveling to and from swap meets or shows all over the US and will grab something along the way.

Did you have any ideas on how you were wanting to ship the seat or crate it and ship it?

My favorite sushi place is in Webster. Sadly I don't make the trip there anymore. Sorry.

Sorry bud, is almost 500 miles for me .... but if a chain was setup.

I have never had a seat shipped before. I needed a bottom seat for my truck. I had everything else except the bottom springs that lift out.
I found a guy that sold pilothouse truck parts and had one. He shipped everything, was his business.

He told me the only way he would ship seats is by removing all the material from them and ship the metal springs only.
Something about mouse & ra**** piss and possibility of spreading disease .... shipping companies treated it like hazardous waste material.

I do not know if there is any truth to it, or if all shippers are like that.

For all I care, wrap the heck out of it with heavy duty saran wrap. I don't care if the upholstery makes it but I really need the frame and seat springs.
    I was thinking pirateship.com
People have been saying great things about them and they are completely legitimate.

I'm not in a hurry either. Relay works for me. Just hard to find these seats.

I don't even care about the upholstery. It's ugly. Just need the frame and seat inserts.

Seriously that lowers the weight and easier on shipping. Thats what he did with some metal panels I bought from him. Just wrap them in saran wrap & slap a label on them .... what he would do with the seat springs also.

I will certainly help if I can .... You hauled enough **** out for me and worked your tail off doing it :D
Out there in the snow loading that stuff up ... I snapped a photo of you pulling out.
Then you were back out 3 more times.

Still google list it as 447 miles, 7-8 hours one way depending on traffic .... Not counting fuel & rest stops. I would package it all up and get it shipped for you. Just need to get it closer then 1k miles round trip with 20 hours driving.

I appreciate it. Yeah, that's just too far for fun. Hopefully someone can help that's close and before they get sold.

That was a bit of a harrowing journey. The idea of pulling that home while it was snowing and not knowing what I would encounter definitely had me on the edge of my seat.

I live in Friendswood, right next to Webster

( before they get sold ) is it front and back seats or 2 buckets. or ??

You want someone to pack and ship them or take them to a packing/shipping place ??

Let me know and I will help if I can

I'm open to either. If you wanted minimal involvement, just take to a FedEx or if you wanted to help out more, can strip them down if needed, wrap really good in saran wrap and go with pirateship.com. I'm simply too far away to fuss with the details. I need it and am at the grace of others.
