  2. Two that I have. The Lions Class Winner jacket from mid to late 60's. Although the Kustoms of Los Angeles jacket is not really a racing jacket, it's pretty rare and interesting. This was a club strictly for owners of Barris kustoms in the early 50's before George started the Kustoms of America club that anyone could join.

Not really a racing jacket, but here's mine from a defunct club that I can't find any info on...

  14. I am going to post some pics from the most awesome books ever if you like old car club and race jackets. I hope they don't mind, I'm sure they will gain some sales from this but I will take the pics down if requested. I am only posting a sample of what's in these books. I got mine at Autobooks in Burbank. Not sure if they are still available.

1950's woman's jalopy Cheesecake Derby jacket from Los Angeles. This jacket was donated to the NHRA Museum in Pomona, CA. Has anyone seen it on display?

1950's California Jalopy Association club jacket of Los Angeles. This could be the last remaining jacket.

    Hello,
Nice jacket!!! We used cases of Wynn's and STP in all of our hot rod motor builds. Despite what a lot of folks say about adding "nothing..." We used the product at the discussion of the gents from Reath Automotive. But, we got our supply of cases of the Wynn's products from our friend in Los Angeles. He used it on his automotive repairs when needed.

Here is the good reversed image. Unless, you took the photo in a mirror by yourself... then, kudos.

upload_2023-3-3_17-39-21.jpeg Our friend also gave us a couple of jackets for good measure. They were good in the cool evening breezes when the mist from the ocean moved into Lion's Dragstrip area as it did almost everyday and night. My jacket lasted through our post drag racing days, into the desert motorcycle racing days. It helped me identify my self in the dust, commotion and even when I got stuck several times out 50 miles away from the pits...

As I remember, you got one of these by turning in 2 or 3 of the weekly class trophies (they were about 7" tall).
