Last weekend I went to this old junkyard in Williams, Ca.
They had a fuel tank I needed for my Fairlane. They have lots of 50's and 60's Fords and Merc's and a few Lincolns. I also seen a 52 or so Olds and a 50 shoebox Ford. He has tons of trim and grilles inside the buildings. They also specialize in Chryslers and have quite a few.The owner John, who is a super nice guy has a 57 Fury that he has restored (by the way it is beautiful).
They actually have two yards in town. Big M Auto is the name
They are about and hour from Sacramento, pm me if you want the phone
    number.

    ***EDIT***
John read this and emailed me back to say it was ok to post the info so....

Are one of the yards RIGHT off of the I-5? I just returned from a houseboat trip on Shasta Lake on Monday and I remember spying a junkyard aout an hour or so North of Sac that appeared to have some old tin as opposed to the late model variety. Then again, I was speeding by at 75+ MPH!

If nothing else, here's a BUMP!

That is one of the two yards. I didn't get a chance to look around that one much, but it seemed to have more cars and a wider selection.
There was also a 50 or so Stude pickup.

btw, you weren't speeding by much as the limit is set at 70 on that stretch!

I would like a pm on that number, my buddy is looking for a 53 chevy grille and that would give me a reason to pick up some wheels and tires I bought n sac from a fellow hamber.

That's the place! A lot of those cars are still there, but not all of them. One that struck me was the 57 Buick, I remeber it stood out and was surprised it still had the front on it.
I will email John to be sure it is ok to post his info and if so I will post back on here.

  9. I have driven by that yard for the past 10 years, I always wondered about that yard. I seem to be going by it in the evenings. I will have to make the effort to stop next time.
