  1. Taking a stab at a Watson style paint job. Lots of little fixes and things before chrome foil, lots of clear, colorsand and polish.

This one is starting to take direction after a bunch of years in limbo. '57 sans moldings with a blown 409. Need to find different air cleaners yet.

Dan, Did you spray clear in high humidity conditions? If so, was moisture trapped in fast drying clear resulting in blushing? The clear appears to have dried before it could flow.

  7. it wasn’t very humid out. The light pink coat was bleeding through the maroon. It’s bathing in brake fluid right now.

It's a week past the Oct. 1 deadline and I'm just now starting on this 1961 Pontiac Ventura kustom. It's the Moebius 1/25 scale kit that I'll build as a curbside. The bumpers will be simplified and transformed into rolled pans and the front, rear and hood will be restyled.

IMG_5149-5151sm.jpg 1961 Pontiac Ventura kustom in progress. This is just a mockup. The finished model will be lower: bottom of rocker panels level with the bottom of the wheel rims.

C'mon, post some Sunday models. My '61 Pontiac has the filling/sanding/priming started and the interior mocked up. This is for the informal Don Hay kustom buildoff: .
