That’s very kool info-history. I dig learning/ knowing all of places, the cast of characters and hearing other former CA. residents view of that time. Terry is a good friend of @Weedburner 40
Who’s another Vintage Tin Car Club member.
Since ya called up Robinson-Erickson Ford later and even 2 dealerships before San Gabriel Ford, It once was known as John E. Noyes Ford right after it’s 1st San Gabriel Ford incarnation. It was located actually in the building west of where you worked @ 600 E. Las Tunas Dr. It was known as Lee’s Chrysler Plymouth from the mid 6o’s to the mid 70’s. After that R-E Ford took it over for a few years as their resale lot.
San Gabriel Ford relocated to a lot east of Walnut Grove @ Burton-Las Tunas and FoMoCo did a dealership restructuring where that “Small Town Dealership” was no longer awarded its dealer status. Chevrolet/Buick had a similar restructuring so it survived till Nov of 14. The later Ford store is a Airstream Dealer.
There were 2 Foster Freeze locations in San Gabriel, The one that you cited which I dug and the other off S-W corner of Las Tunas & Willard.
Back To Lorenzini and his partner in the welding shop, his partner was Dale Giese?
I had to check with Dale Caufeild/weedburner 40 to see if he recalled which he did indeed.
I used to dig road testing cars from San Gabriel Bl. To Rosemead Bl. Via Las Tunas just to see what was the haps @ Pete & Jake’s.
More to say, but thanks for the memories.

Here’s more images of the coupe. This is when I wore out the tires that were off the CA. Kid. Bummed out about that as nobody sold Bias Ply Winston Tires at the their shops, just Radials, that’s what been on it since then.
I’m wondering if you ever saw my 34 Woody out there as well. I know that I drove it to work a few times then. 0AD69B83-17F0-489F-85B2-17FEE8C09D65.jpeg
This the coupe that I drove there daily:

This shot is going to Americruise 93 with both Pete & Jake in their “then” respective 34’s and The Pete & Jake’s “Viper Coupe” 33. Driven by Peggy/Tina Slover.

So below is my 34 Roadster which is still driven around TC - SG. Below is some of the different wheels that it runs. This car was at O’DONNELL pretty much daily. Ya might’ve seen it at some point?????

I figured an update was necessary to this post by @Chrisbcritter .
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get to my 34 3W as it’s been landlocked in my Temple City Garage. Now, there’s been so much going on. Every time I’d walk past the coupe I’d say I gotta get back on it. I took the WASKE Effect 29 for a homecoming of sorts to San Diego for a Road Ramblers Club meeting as a guest. They presented the 29 Roadster with a Club Plaque like Clem had, so that was a great time with a great group of Hot Rodders. The reason I bring all of this up is because where the WASKE Effect 29 265b roadster was stored was in a garage where I reassembled that car. It needed to come home to Temple City, in the meantime I had to move no less than 8 cars at 2 separate locations, some of them = dead players. The 34 3W now had a chance to get out of the garage. so I loaded it up on the trailer and took it to nearby Alhambra and the “Oz Garage” as I had already had the 29 Roadster at my TC Garage.
Got the 34 3W out on Friday kept it on the trailer till Sunday morning after breakfast then headed over to Alhambra. It’s time to get this coupe back in the rotation. Here’s the latest update pix. 4AF78956-B4A5-40A3-98AD-6946581950B0.jpeg 2E74EC1C-A06D-42A4-B145-ED9CF01D47A6.jpeg 427DFE95-F438-484D-8D0B-73E1E33DCD63.jpeg 712C3246-3285-46D9-93D0-9FDFED859A7F.jpeg 8FF8CF53-5F8E-477C-AD4F-400DB52BD140.jpeg C4DAF847-465E-4EA7-9447-C7EFEB4B1199.jpeg 170BF80F-0DF9-4965-9521-A6032F294552.jpeg As you can tell, not much has changed since then. (Late 90’s).

Just found this post again, had completely forgot about it. The Terry I knew DID indeed have a black 40 sedan as he tried to sell it to me about the time he was selling his mom's 66 mustang as he was getting ready for the move to Idaho. I think Terry's last name was Poly (maybe spelled wrong) and I did contact him a couple times after he moved to Idaho. After he threatened to "beat some religion into me" we sorta lost contact......

Yes, Terry Polley had the 29. I lost contact with him for a few years after I moved to northern CA. I didn't know he ever had a 40. Same guy though.
