  6. This gold colored "T" roadster was owned by Don Gallant of Newington, Connecticut, who has passed away. It is now owned by Paul Gallant, Don's youngest son. who also runs Don's Speed Shop, which has been in business since 1958. Also in the picture is the license plate "PNTO" on the front of "Bud" Pinto's 1937-38 SBC powered Chevrolet coupe. Also, when Don bought the roadster it was powered by a 6 cylinder Chevrolet engine.

Great info Nick, I now remember sharing that T back in this Thread...quite the survivor it is...and a smallblock powered 37,8 or 9 Chevy Coupe make great Hotrods that's for sure...

...I've been snooping a lot lately for images of @Pete's recently acquired heavy channel East Coast 3W Deuce and @GoJoMoJo's Dean Jeffries flamed and Striped Drag Deuce Pickup.

In that search I find other Hotrods that fit the bill for this Thread and the spread above does just that...Another Cycle fendered Hotrod...this time 48 or older Harley fenders are fitted to this Roadster among other unique mods...

...I'll overlook the bugs which aren't as lethal as Photobuckets...funny they called it The Blob...
I can tell from these pics those Harley fenders posed some challenges getting them spot on...I think they could have used a widening to get them closer to the tire...the Roadster in the post above wears the older style fender better...and of course this is just my opinion...

  20. It's a bit of a jumble, but I'm not seeing any hydraulic brake lines. Possibly no front brakes with a backing plate/cover to protect the hubs.

It looks as if they were trying to moon disc the inner side and you are correct...it seems there's no front brakes which is kinda silly as they probably could have ran all that stuff and had the disc there but it was probably more show than go...and if you were flying down the road you would have had to get used to relying on those hopefully non fading rear drum brakes...

Thanks for chiming in on the local Hotrod query...there was some really cool things going on that way back in the day that's for sure...

...Front end kicked waaay out...1965...nearing end of Hamb era but this was a mod that had begun previous and this Hotrod reaches back way more than forward...

...Someone did a Thread on Extremes recently which related to origins of deep channels...well, it was part of the evolution that did have a never ending creep from Track, to Strip, to Street...and low and behold its still happening...I say good on that, it's rather menacing sometimes...

Pics or it didn't happen...I love pics...;)

Ole Post Depression era friends...That's really coming along Clayton...the ribbed tires are very fitting...there were so many brands and styles available back then...This is loosely I understand, inspired by Isky's T... I have a vision of your old T, this one, Isky's and that Swedish A at El Mirage for a photoshoot...a pre war gathering...These periods give so much to inspire and desire, it's hard to pick which is more a favorite...so heck I'll like them all, because I do...

  29. This is the Howard Leever and Fred Esser Bonnevile roadster. They were members of the San Francisco Ramblers car club, as well as was Joe Carlomagno who's 1932 Ford 3 window that is in the background. Joe's coupe is painted Palamino Buff ( tan ) and it was striped by "Tommy The Greek" IIRC ,Joe lives in Mill Valley and has a full fendered 1932 Ford roadster. Joe was my mentor as I lived across the street from him on Green Street in San Francisco.

...Obviously an older livery of Joe's Coupe shared by Hemi32...

This is a second round for the Leever/Esser Roadster here Nick and you Id'd it last time too...albeit this is a new image and quite a nice one at that...

...Also in the Rambler's Thread is this incredible shot that's been shared here before that has a coupe in the background with the 1/4 windows filled...not a mod many like but I don't mind it...
