Thanks Ryan for getting me straight on how screwed up AOL is..now I can post pics again! So here's the frontend of the 57 chevy I have been working on. 56 olds headlights, and I wanted to smooth the gunsights off so I cut a section at a time off and at first I used the leftover olds fenders for filler pieces but as I ran out I ended up using the pieces I cut out ...I heated the undercoating up enough to s****e it off, then flattened the steel with my poor mans planishing hammer (body hammer on an anvil!) By only doiny 6-8 inches at a time the pieces were easy to flatten and I got very little distortion because the raised gunsight sections kept the hood stiff.
Next update will be a drastic change....hopefully to be started this weekend!

You frickin rule. That looks so clean, I can't wait to see as the rest of it progresses. This car is gonna knock em dead.

So what did you do with the cold air vents?

Looks great. It's good to see someone's not afraid to do something new and different with a '57.
