I need help identifying these parts. I plan on selling hopefully to someone in the swap meet business. These parts are in a storage unit near Nashville Tn. I have been told this is a Pontiac motor. I have looked on the block front left and rear around the distributor for a number but not luck. The left side of the motor is totally covered with the alternator and power steering.? I can tell the water pump is not chevy. Also is the ****** a 350 or 400? The rear end is a banjo with mechanical brakes lugs 5 on 5 1/2? The flat head 6 has a ****** with a emergency brake on the drive line. Is it Chrysler? Is it worth anything other than a boat anchor? Hopefully I have posted this correctly with the pics.
Definitely a Pontiac. With a 2bbl carb, the trans is most likely a T350. HEI says 75 and newer. Diff looks like Model A to me. Dash is Chevy AD truck
i think Dodge on the flathead and fluid drive transmission. Someone would like to have it but it's not a high dollar item.
Chrysler engine circa late '40s to mid '50s. Measure the length of the head to see which displacement it is. 23 inch is 230 cu. in. (Dodge & Plymouth) and 25" is 251 cu. in. ( Chrysler). Fluid Drive transmission is a little hard to put a year to as it was used for so many years. It could be an M-5, judging by the external band emergency brake. In the '50s they went to an internal expanding brake. It could be an M-6 because at some point they went back to the external contracting band for a little while. I have one of each in my bag of tricks. If Ted at 302GMC sees this, he can tell you more. Very knowledgeable man.
I do not know how to edit a ***le? Thanks for the info so far. Where are the identifying numbers on a Pontiac?
I'm not sure I'd go to the effort to haul that Pontiac engine and trans to a swapmeet. I'd stick it on craigslist or marketplace for 2oo bucks and the first cash in hand offer I got for it, I'd be telling them to back the truck in and we will load it. The AD truck dash isn't worth a lot as somone hacked it up putting a different radio in it but there is enough there to patch someone's worse hacked up dash.
TO EDIT ,To the right below your ***le is THREAD TOOLS and WATCH THREAD.Click on THREAD TOOLS and you can make the change .

Thanks for the info. I am trying to get some value on this stuff. I own a storage facility and the guy renting the unit moved and asked if I could get rid of what was in the unit. I did not look in the unit and said sure thinking it was you know household items that I could auction or easily haul to the dump. When I opened it up I knew an auction was out of question. I doubt if I could get a bid. I could but I hate to take this stuff to salvage because someone could save it. I really want to bundle this stuff and give someone a deal on all of it of course they have to be near Nashville.
