I agree and I deleted it. Not a good picture for this great thread.

Chuck, I know what you say about hood clearance and lack of fresh air. I spoke to Jim Jr on this car. Cool that he is still keeping the old Vettes in the limelight.

Here is a picture I took last night at our monthly car club meeting. Had to crop it a bit to keep it relevant. The black 57 has a dual quad 409, my red 62 is next with a 427 and the 59 has a 355 small block. Probably one of the last times we will get to drive the hotrods this year. Club mtg 1s.jpg

Colin and Doug I probably have more pictures but since the book my files are a mess. Here are a couple of pics at Autorama a few years ago. If I find more I will load them. Never really think of taking pictures since I see the car all the time. DSCN1725.JPG DSCN1722.JPG

It is pretty cool that he was able to use a stock hood. When I read some of the things that guys on forums say about how one cannot fit a big block in a solid axle it amazes me. Ed has aluminum heads on the 409 and it makes it ride pretty good. Sounds really healthy as well. In looking through old files I came up with a picture of the three cars at last years Pumpkin show at a local airport. Mike's 59 with dual quads on a 355 and my 427 in the mix as well.

I saw a similar 409 Vette sell at Bloomington gold about 25 years ago . It went cheap as I recall it always stuck in my mind as a cool car .
