After the AI Thread I'm not sure if this isn't a thought and hit print...Yes it's wild but I dunno...

Maybe an old funny car body like a A10 tank killer...movie prop...

There was a thread this week about a guy hooking up a Moon pedal and Moon’s hydraulic throttle linkage was mentioned. IIRC the hydraulic cylinders Moon used were by Marbet. Hydra-Link was another manufacturer, their cylinders were smaller and the pedal just flat stock with the edges formed in a press brake.

That front opening would easily accept a Merlin V-12 and appears to have tabs on the rear for a wing.

The rear wheel openings suggest tracks instead of wheels, could it have been some kind of sand or ice racer?

Maybe it's a snowmobile body. Someone went for a speed record back in the 70's. Maybe the same thing...

It reminds me of a pre-war Mercedes-Benz land speed racer that set records on the Autobahn.

Looks to me like the body of an unlimited Hydro-plane like we had on Lake Washington, Seattle back in the late 50's early 60's.

Seeing the size of that opening on the hood made me comment about the Merlin V-12.

Again after looking at the Zeltango Thread someone might be chuckling watching us speculate and search our brains out trying to find something that doesn't exist...

When you look at that it's hard not to believe they didn't NOT know that existed...

    Hello,

A lot of weird designs can and will be drawn for this finished product. For me, it was a Bonneville or El Mirage dry lake streamliner with a rear engine, 671 Potvin style SBC motor. We have always liked the Vega Station Wagon design that had the KAMMback shape to help with streamlining. But no Vega ever went 200 mph… If this streamlined body ever did on the dry lakes...

The swoopy rear fenders allow the air to flow around and over the enclosed tires in the rear. The nose, on the other hand should be enclosed and make the air flow up and over the rest of the body. but, it does looks like an early USA jet fighter plane.

    Jnaki

It was/is an oddball shape and could be an enclosed snow ski with treads for traction in the back. But, we are about automotive shapes and possibilities. So, my version is SBC powered with enclosed wheels.

Missing is the Kammback roof lid that kept the smooth flow rearward and for access to the rear end. YRMV

Looking at the pictures and blowing them up some there is the red light lens on the near side and not so clear possible green lens on the far side. Both lights in approximately same area on both sides. This would be consistent with port (red) and starboard (green) lights required on boats and airplanes. The lights would not be legal as both marine/aviation only emit light that can be seen from required angles/ points. Other interesting thing is there appears to be a lot of flush mounted rivets which would seem to indicate aviation construction in its original application.
