Just got the news that rear end ring and pinion are garbage and not available! Any suggestions? 1954 Ford Crestliner!
As an example, I put a 57 rear in my 54 and they were the same length. If you have a sedan with the drop out center section, the 56 center section may go right in.
The track width is the same and uses the same rear U-joint, EZ swap, but check the brake drums they can be hard to find and $$$. You might want to check the "Sticky" and do a Ranger Rear swap parts are more available and a lot less expensive and will have self adjusting brakes.
