    Hello,

This looks like a posed shot at a high school location. Possibly, for a yearbook photo to show off what takes place in an auto shop class. That drag racing slick will not fit under that Pontiac by any means. In those days, no one thought of narrowed rear axles and tubs for wider mags and slicks.

My friend’s 62 Pontiac had difficulties getting a 7” Bruce Slick tire in the rear wheel well opening. So, the pictured big, wide slick/5 spoke mag is not going to fit.

Of course, the drag slick/5 spoke mag could be placed in the trunk, but the other one will not fit either. The width of the slicks would take up too much space and the trunk lid will not lock. Yes, they could tie the trunk lid down to make it somewhat closed, but why?

Kudos to the owner of the Pontiac GTO, it looks as if he has a set of “Blueline” tires on all 4 corners. Very nice choice.

In my time on fire grounds here in Sth. Aus. the mighty "Salvos" would always be first out to supply sandwiches, coffee etc. to the weary troops. They're the best.
