Anyone here know of any organized dirt drags involving nostalgia cars? I know about TROG but are there any others?

Yes, Monte Vista Colorado dirt drags will be back at Movie Manor next year. I'm pretty sure the dates are listed in the events section. This will be a new group running them from the past when Mike Nicholas and his family ran it.

For an organized event you would need a venue that has a straight stretch of dirt or sand to race on.
Harvest drags are basically an extended group of friends playing in the organizer's just harvested field before he plows it up to prep it for next year.

Hunting around a couple of years ago after the tide and weather issues at Pismo beach I discovered a sand drag track in Cali that is a bit off the beaten path but would be a pretty nifty spot for an organized Trog style event. Race part of the track is only 300 ft with a 1800 ft shut off area.

More sand than dirt, but we are having fun at the annual Normandy Beach Race in France.
Also there are two dirt circle track races here in Germany.

SLV Fast Friends presents Draggin' on Dirt, June 2, 3, & 4, 2023 at the 1/8 mile dirt strip behind the Movie Manor Facility west of Monte Vista, Colorado. After a three-year absence, dirt drags will once again bring hundreds of traditional rods to the San Luis Valley of south-central Colorado.

Since being announced a couple of weeks ago, this event has garnered a lot of attention, resulting in motels and B&B facilities already booking rooms. The town of Monte Vista is excited to have the rodders return for another shot at the strip under beautiful blue skies at the feet of the San Juan Mountains. Civic and business groups are already making plans to welcome all participants and spectators in a warm fashion.

Those familiar with previous events at this venue will notice a few changes. The biggest one is that the event is being run by a non-profit group. All profits after expenses will be donated to s charity or community project benefitting children in the area. All those planning and manning the event are volunteers, doing their best to put on a fun event for both rodders and spectators alike. There will be camping available on-site, as well as RV parking, vendors, a car show, and much more.

Please make plans to come Draggin' on Dirt with us next June!

This dirt drag event just took place in Sturgis South Dakota. It was a first time, but a huge sucess. There will be at least one and probably two of these events in Stugis in 2024.

Sorry to be off topic but still vintage drags. I saw this on the Oiler's website. Can't find any info if it's 2023. They had an event in April 2023. Dec 9-10 is a 2023 weekend and those dates haven't been a weekend for many years. Tried to contact TROG but says capcha didn't work.
