Fair price, IMO. When I bought the automatic column for my '54 I paid $200.00 but it was local. I would guess shipping would be pricey.
That steering column is out of a 53 Ford. Not a 54 Ford. They will not inter change, they are different lengths.
You are absolutely right Dave. I hadn't noticed the round knobs. And yes, the '54 and '53 columns are different length and not interchangable. I found that out the hard way when I bought a '53 column for my '54 and it didn't fit. I then bought your '54 column which I installed in my '54.
By how much ? They all use a flat dish steering wheel, you can see the Lokar linkage for an AOD swap in the "Sticky".
