I have been talking to Tom.

 

I can remember studying that car for hours when it was featured in magazines.

 

When I was contemplating putting side knerf bars on my roadster the CSC was one of the cars that I derived great inspiration from.

There are very few cars that need nothing to be perfect.... The Cop Shop Coupe is one such car. Congrats.

 

Those were the days when I could hang with friends and the owner of the shop that pined stripped the fabulous flame jog.

the ONLY thing I would alter on that car is the lowest part of the grille inner, should be black, to expose the complete grille... IMO

I bet 9 out of 10
'32 Ford have NOT painted the bottom part of the back of the grille shell black.
always "bugs me" almost like the bottom of the grille is not important..


like EVERYONE, I LOVE that car. The service station owners kid, (at Pleasanton ) told me it overheats.

I replied, I don't care, I just LOVE looking at it ...

 

when I get it home i intend to black out the lower part

re the cooling - it currently has no shroud so keen to do something there.
I am also thinking of the fact there is extra room (not much) to build a larger radiator.

imo, sometimes to increase the size of radiator doesn't help, air flow and length of time in radiator does help, thermostat, and timing. !!!
Most newer small blocks run near 210 degrees, >>> 190 used to make me freak, not anymore tho... i.e. ( A friend had a 4 row radiator, reduced it to to 3 rows, instantly !!! no more heating issues )
I LOVE that darn car, "the sway back" of the frame !!!!
Seems like Prufer tried to duplicate it with the "32 three window, but fell short.

I first saw the car at the NSRA nationals in Merced before it had the flames. It was under a rainbow canopy that just reflected beautifully on the flawless black paint. The flames on my roof are a not to this famous car.

 

I liked it better solid black, when it came out in the magazines !

 

Great car and the true definition of a HOT ROD! Black, Flames, Hairpins, sprint car side bars and the right stance! It's like the California Kid, with no fenders!
