OK im rebuilding my 62 ford 390 fe engine. Just gotta install intake & rockers and damper.I order ss hex head bolts from BOLT LOCKER on E-Pay.I go to install them w/o measuring them. They look a lil short but i figger he couldnt send the wrong size! WRONG.When torqueing down the bolts two bolt hole threads "pull up"& have to be heli-coiled! .I go out back and pull the intake bolts off a 352 i had an sure enough there 1/4 " longer w/o washers.I used washers with the new wrong size ss bolts.I call the guy back after VENTING and he says "NO PROBLEM ILL SEND YOU 2-3/4 bolts there two sizes 2-1/2 & 2-3/4"!He didnt say that when i ordered them. They say you learn from your mistakes. Well this has been a learning process. MIKE

It's a lesson we've all had to learn at one time or another.......measure twice, cut once !!

Ahhhh. Arent FE's fun? You did get the rocker shaft bolts in the correct locations didn't you? If not, no oil to the top end.
